We are simply a young family in love with animals and a self-sustainable lifestyle. We moved to our own farm in February 2021, and we live in the barn with the animals. Or do they live in the barn with us? It's hard to tell.
We take a more old fashioned view on raising animals with minimal interventions such as vaccines. Most of our animals are free-range and grain is a treat, rather than a staple. We also keep our pastures full of diverse types of animals, as this helps with pest and parasite control. Basically, we believe in simple farming that's run on a lot of love and sustainability.
This means a lot of trial and error, consulting time-approved books like The Self Sufficient Life by John Seymour, and some common sense.
